Santos has returned !

After a journey of more than 17500 km across several countries with his Mega Multitruck, Santos finally arrived in China.

He was not however, able to continue as far as Beijing due to continuous bureaucratic problems !

As soon as he arrives back in Spain he will give us a detailed account of his incredible adventure.

We are really looking forward to sharing the photos and the countries that he has discovered during this journey.

Santos said "my Mega multitruck most certainly did not go unnoticed. In all the countries I passed through the people would come up to me and ask a lot of questions. The people seemed very surprised and interested in my vehicle."

The Mega team would like to congratulate Santos and of course his Mega on his achievement.

We can very clearly say that the challenge has been won. Santos showed his courage and the Mega as being a very exceptional utility vehicle.

There is absolutely no doubt Mega, the force of a leader.

The beginning of June 2009 saw the start of the MEGA Challenge. This challenge involved two Spaniards, Santos Borbolla and Sérgio Estrada in an 18,000km journey from Asturias in Spain to Beijing, China in a Diesel MEGA Van!

22 days into the challenge and two is now one! Unfortunately Sergio has had to return to Spain for personal reasons but Santos is determined to complete the challenge despite the difficulties.

The challenge has experienced temperatures up to 35 Degree C, torrential Rain and even Snow (on Friday in Russia).
Despite these adverse conditions Santos and the MEGA Van continue their journey having just crossed the border into Mongolia.
So far the Van has covered 11,000km at an average speed of 50km/h, Santos commented on the Vans performance so far saying; "It's a real automobile, absolutely fantastic! Until now, I have only had to carry out basic maintenance such as oil and filter changes. " He added, "this journey is turning out to be more difficult than I imagined but my MEGA Multitruck is proving to be a very reliable vehicle."

On arrival in Mongolia it is planned for Santos to provide school equipment and clothing to local communities.

The MEGA Challenge will be crossing 15 countries in its journey from Spain to Beijing. It is hoped that the Journey will be achieved within 40 days.

Bravo Santos!
